HBO is considering giving sex-advice columnist Dan Savage his own TV show – how cool is that? We love Dan. He’s a hoot. The pilot is being produced now. Fingers crossed! There’s more at Salon:
‘The syndicated sex columnist writes that his series, which would also be titled “Savage Love,” “will focus on current events and cultural trends with sex as the filter.” And his approach to the show seem specially designed to fill the TV sex programming void: “I’m hoping to bring a new kind of conversation to TV about sex — an honest conversation, one that’s informed without being (too) wonky, funny without being (too) cruel, sexy without being (too) cheesy. Basically, my sex advice column — but on the teevee!”‘
And here’s a video of when Dan Savage offered to be Sarah Palin’s gay friend.
Greg took some photos of lightening from his back yard a while ago. He was very pleased with the result, but I’m afraid it cannot quite measure up to this spectacular display seen from a Nebraska truck stop:
HBO has a new comedy called Hung, about a teacher with a gigantic schlong who becomes a straight male escort to make ends meet. It seems to be well worth a look.
There’s news that the Shady Lady, one of Nevada’s legal brothels, is looking to employ male prostitutes.
“There are a lot of career-minded women out there who are looking for romance but not necessarily a relationship,” Shady Lady owner Bobbi Davis told FOX.
Other venues across the state also have inquired about adding men to the menu. But brothel industry lobbyist George Flint discourages the practice because he believes it is socially unacceptable – and he doubts it will have any effect on the bottom line.
Some Talibaptists in Idaho are worried that Internet porn is about to bring the collapse of civilization, or some such thing.
The home state of Senator Larry Craig doesn’t strike us as the very most auspicious locale for such a meeting. We wonder… Will they invite the esteemed former senator to participate? – he used to be such a strong champion of ‘family values’? And… Will there be misbehavior in the men’s room?
